I recently got onto a bit of software that enables u to download an play these games at ur own leisure.
(and to think i spent thousands in 20c pieces in my youth)

You'e have to be 80s kids to know these games.

Anyone else into it.?

The software is called MAME32

Oh the memories.  Down at some place in Russell Street (Timezone?), listening to Prince, playing Galaga.

LOL Ox

Ah the good old commodore 64. Numero uno way to become popular at school in the mid 80's  :rollin. You were a nerd if you had an Apple IIe with its green screen that took 20 minutes to fade after switching it off lol.

I've got the original space invaders at home plus some other early 80's game.

Man these games were my childhood - I bought some system at the melb show a couple of yaers ago and it lasted a month - couldn't find out how to contact them. It had galaxican or whatever.

There was a joint on flinders street halfway between swanston and Elizabeth if I can recall correct. Sspent many an hour in there.

If I can figure it out Richmond may miss out on an extra bum(s) on seat (just kidding).

Being a computer doofus tell me how I do this ox

As cus would say HOOK ME UP  :thumbsup

Sweet.

I'll try to make it as general as possible.

We may have to stuff around a little but it'll be worth it.

First go to the above link and download the first and third downloads.
(scroll down the page)

Unzip the 3rd one first, then the first.

You'll have to post back as to how far u get.

I need to remember myself cos Im mainly using a Mac now but i tried it on my pc a moth ago and it is just like tyhe real thing.

Any Arcade game u remember is at your fingertips.
More on that later.

or go here for a more detailed description

http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/mameguide/mameinstall32.htm

We'll go into the next phase later.
It involves installing a "front end" or "interface" for the MAME32 software.

That means, basically a nice little box for u to see and choose what games u wanna play
