Browny to miss again
« on: April 24, 2007, 04:55:48 PM »
Still at least another fortnight ....

Quote
The Tigers will again be without star forward Nathan Brown who is still suffering from a “hot spot”, an injury resulting from his broken leg last season.

“He’s getting fairly frustrated with the whole thing. He took a really good step yesterday and was out running. He got through that session without any pain, so that was a pleasing sign for him,” Wallace says.

“He’s now had six weeks without a game of football. Now we’ve got to ramp him back up and make sure that we can work him back up from a training point of view … we’re hoping that over the next fortnight we might see him back out there.”

While Johnson is soldiering on, star forward Nathan Brown it seems is still some weeks away from returning after suffering a stress-related 'hot spot' in his leg near to where he suffered that horrendous break in 2005.

Wallace said Brown was pain-free after a running session on Monday but because it's been six weeks since his last game, the club will need to manage his return to action carefully.

"I keep not wanting to put a time frame on these things … but we're hoping that over the next fortnight we can work him back up and hopefully we can see him back out there," Wallace said.

dont be scared, they are not even talking about a star

all they will say is that sugar has been playing with a broken hand, the bombshell isnt that he broke it playing the pies, he had a self gratification accident!

They should just lean Browny against the goalpost and hope he kicks 4 goals. Hey it worked for Richard Lounder.

Brown to miss another week
25 April 2007   Herald-Sun
Mark Robinson with AAP

THE frustration for Richmond forward Nathan Brown continues as he is set to miss another week with his injured leg.

The heartening news is that Brown completed a running session on Monday and reported no soreness afterwards.

He will step up his training regimen in the next 10 days and hopes to be available for the Round 6 clash against Geelong at Telstra Dome.

"It is frustrating for him, but we won't be rushing him back," Tigers football manager Paul Armstrong said yesterday.
