Favourite Footy Ads
« on: March 31, 2007, 09:59:52 PM »
What are some of your favourite footy related commercials, old or new?

Mines the Toyota ones with Stephen Curry and that other bloke with Malcolm Blight. And the Dermie one is pretty funny.

I wish they'd do a Richmond one. It could be KB turning Magro in a knot, Roachy or Royce's marks or Bourke with his face painted red. For sheer comedy they could get Spud to relive his hurdling and water bottle skills lol.

As for favourite ads, the auskick one with the kids is a beauty. From the past, the old 4&20 ad with Jack Dyer going "Oi" was a classic. I also loved our old membership ad with the leaping tiger marking the footy.

My favorite would have to be the drunks walking out of the "G" and the Tiger on the back window sticker growling at them, Scaring them into walking home.

I think ive seen that same tiger a few time
 :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers

Spud telling us why should they turn up if we don't. Sheer comedy.

I think that Auskick one with the kids is a good one too, very catchy tune.

I haven't seen this one on telly forever, but I know it gets played at the footy, the Motorola ad with the blokes holding up cards talking to each other, then the chick walks past and the guy gets punched  :lol

Up here we get a lot of tv coverage for the Lions on Channel 10.  They like to use a particular shot of Jonathon Brown, looking very ferocious at the camera.  Great effect as he looks so mean - does send a shiver done one's spine.

There's not a bad ad where Barry Hall goes back to his old junior club and takes on singlehandedly what looks like the U10's. I saw it on that internet VFL tv site.

I saw another Toyota one last night with Tony Lockett, I don't know if it's new, but it's the first time I saw it... gave me a bit of a giggle ;D
