Richie Tambling a bit exciting - Wallace
« on: April 29, 2007, 04:54:47 AM »
That first quarter from Tambo certainly was  :thumbsup

Quote
In a thinly veiled swipe at constant comparisons of Tambling with fellow draftee Lance Franklin, of Hawthorn, Wallace said the young Tiger was having an excellent year.

"It was a bit exciting, wasn't it? " Wallace said.

"Shades of some things that have been happening over at Hawthorn, with what he did today, in that first quarter. Every one of those kids is going to develop at different times.

"They are going to have their highs and lows. We are all going to be excited about our own."

But he wasn't - end of story.  Didn't even make pick #2 which surprised everyone.  No point on speculating on the "what ifs".

Both Blingers and Buddy are completely different players. What would you prefer? 4 goals from a 20 possession midfielder who can push forward or 6 from a 12 posession forward. Both are and will be good.

The team that will succeed will be the one who thinks just that - team. Both sides still lost on the weekend despite the respective above efforts.
