Club Culture - what is it?
« on: May 06, 2007, 06:09:59 AM »
There's an article in the Herald-Sun today about Geelong FC and it's "culture". Below you could probably replace the word Geelong with Richmond over the past 25 years.

Quote
The cause of yet another round of introspection and self-analysis is clear: Geelong is on the verge of self-destruction again.

Geelong has become the riddle wrapped in a Rubik's cube.

Everyone talks about a club's culture but what defines it? Is it the coach or the players or the board or the supporters?

Anyone who went to or watch the Kangaroos last night would know what culture is. The Kangas have a real crack at playing the game

the roos are hard at it at the moment and they know how to react in a crisis. I saw how they reacted when sydney got to within 4 points...the roos are good club- they may not be superstars, but they have pride and there not afraid to do the tough stuff and get there hands dirty. If RFC was in that position last night - we probably would have surrendered.
