Mine:

A goodie when standing up to people who think they can just walk over you and you stick it up 'em (waves at local council after the last 2 weeks :lol )

Some of my favourite metaphors:

Her hair glistened in the rain like a nose hair after a sneeze.

Her face was a perfect oval, like a circle that had its two sides gently compressed by a thigh master.

She had a deep throaty, genuine laugh, like that sound that a dog makes just before it throws up.

John and Mary had never met - they were just like two hummingbirds that had also never met.

One for us Tiger supporters now lol:

"Try to relax and enjoy the crisis."

It wouldn't be a quote thread without Ezekiel 25:17 a la from Pulp Fiction

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

"Grief can take care of itself; but to get the full value of a joy you must
have somebody to divide it with."

When I shower, I like to wash up as far as possible.

Then wash down as far as possible.

Then wash possible.

(No idea who wrote it).

It doesn't matter what temperature the room is, it's always room temperature.

I had a friend who was a clown. When he died, all his friends went to the funeral in one car.

My neighbor has a circular driveway... He can't get out.

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
