Won't both players spend time at Coburg to get match fitness?  Or will they rush one of them into the senior side?

You're right Julz. Both will play for Coburg first. They've missed too much and lack match fitness. As Ramps says there's no rush. Not in our or Simmo's interests to rush him back.

Does Coburg have a mid-season break as well?

Does Coburg have a mid-season break as well?

Julz in the VFL seniour teams have 2 byes a season because there are only 13 teams. So far Coburg has had one. They also get a break for the State game that was on last week.

Coburg seniors are not sue another bye until round 18 - August 11/12.

Also teams aligned to VFL clubs can make a request for AFL players ot play in the VFL during the AFL bye (mid season break) :thumbsup

As for the club’s other injured absentees, Wallace confirmed Troy Simmonds is still a week or two away from a competitive return, while Trent Knobel looks likely to play at VFL level this weekend.
