NO JOY yet this season for Terry Wallace, coach of the cellar-dwelling Tigers, but he's scoring a few points by proxy. Altona fence builder Bob Groves, a bloke who bears an uncanny resemblance to Wallace, says the warning bells went off the other night while walking dog Dibs: half-a-dozen louts blocking the footpath. "This could be nasty," thought Groves, and he was about to make a strategic diversion when one of the louts exclaimed: "Hey, it's Terry Wallace!" Seizing the moment, Groves acknowledged the greeting, the pack parted and, like Moses and the Red Sea, "Terry" walked through unscathed.
