We still another strong key defender for the gorillas but we're forming the nucleus of the very good backline. Not just stoppers either. All running rebounders. As fwoy said in another thread we set up plenty of goals from deep in defence with the Lids goal one of the best length of the ground team goals.

Special mention to Thursty. He was great tonight on Lloyd.

I thought Lukey McGuanes attack on the ball was sensational today.
Very good overhead has poise but his kicking is his only detriment.
His attack on the ball whether bouncing or overhead was great. Not afraid to run off.
Really really impressed and thrilled for the boy. He has come a long way from his 1st game in that mauling we copped against the Swans last year :thumbsup

Thursty was fantastic. VERY UNLUCKY with a few decisions not going his way. One that springs to mind was in the last quarter when Lloyd on the lead dropped the mark lace out under pressure and the ump in the same motion was ready to pay the mark but instead paid the free to him for over the soldier. Very very soft. Reason I bring this up I was right in line of it. Anyway great development and hopefully he has a great game against Riewoldt. Last time he was on Riewoldt he kept him quiet so here's to another great game and a prosperous future. :thumbsup
