ANOTHER West Coast Eagles footballer has fallen foul of the law.
The AFL club confirmed that rookie Chris Masten was one of several people issued with a “move on” order by police at the Australia Day Skyworks celebration on the Perth foreshore on Saturday night.
The 18-year-old, who was West Coast's first pick at No. 3 in December's NAB AFL Draft, allegedly punched a man during a brawl.
Police could not confirm media reports Masten had been charged with disorderly conduct.
West Coast chief executive Trevor Nisbett said the club was very disappointed the player had put himself in that situation and would investigate the matter in the coming days.
"The club will follow due process with this investigation and upon completion through our senior leadership group, match committee and core values committee will make a further announcement," Nisbett said.
