Nicely tanked today lol
« on: September 01, 2007, 09:53:32 PM »
 :yep

If there's no tanking I would like to know why we ....

(i) after dominating for 25 minutes playing long direct running footy we suddenly 8 minutes into the last quarter and 9 points up start chip chip chipping around and overpossessing in the backline. It was too early to try and save the game.

(ii) and Rainsey is moved back onto Riewoldt in the last quarter when our other taller defenders had done a good job containing him.

I don't mind as come November I'll be glad we have pick 2, 18 and 19 in the top 20 plus 1st pick in the PSD. But the last 10 minutes of today's game was seriously suss on our part.

Yeah I thought that was an odd one too. Best hands in the club and he drops a sitter.

Also Kingy's perfect pass to Montagna out of defence with not a Richmond player 20-30m near him. Whatever happened in those last 10-15 minutes was farcial whether we call it tanking or not.

don't be ridiculous MT..... ::)

When the coach comes out and says he feels/felt compromised and those off-field hoped we'd lose before the game then yesterday went to script. We keep our priority pick and the boys can take some good form over the past month into the preseason and next year.

If the AFL brought in a NBA lottery-type draft system then we won't have to put up with this crap.
