What went rightA final four weeks full of promise suggested there is a bit to look forward to next season. Nathan Brown showed he's still got it and Jake King was a find as a 23-year-old rookie.
What went wrong Injuries, especially to ruckmen Troy Simmonds and Trent Knobel, and several narrow defeats early conspired to turn 2007 into the season from hell.
What they need Having found the makings of a couple of good key defenders in Will Thursfield and Luke McGuane, the Tigers would do well to build up their midfield rotation. The return of knee victim Mark Coughlan will help.

The GoodRichmond was the second-best ball user of the competition
with a disposal efficiency of 80.5 percent. It kicked the ball short more often than any other side.
The Bad They won a hitout from only 29 per cent of stoppages - the fewest in the competition, and conceded the second most goals from stoppages.
Sheahan's VerdictRichmond finished last. How can it be anything less than an embarrasing year? Yet the Tigers finished the season with gusto. With Browny fit and hungry, Simmonds to return and significant progress from Foley, Deledio and Thursfield, the signs are promising.
