SEN ladder predictions
« on: February 03, 2008, 12:41:26 AM »
SEN's late night show were discussing there and callers top 8 and ladder predictions.

One commentator gave his whole ladder (us finishing 15th):

Geelong
St Kilda
Collingwood
Port
Eagles
Hawthorn (just)
Brisbane
Sydney
-----------
Carlton
Adelaide
Fremantle
North Melb
Bulldogs
Melbourne
Richmond
Essendon

While the other gave just his top 8:

Geelong
North Melb
Fremantle
Hawthorn
Collingwood
Port
Carlton (his reason - Judd)
Eagles

Hellenic Tiger

Taking into account last years finish it would be outrageous to think we are certainties to have a meteoric rise up the table so to have us 15th unfortunantely is not unrealistic. To be honest I would love to finish well up the ladder in the 8 but 12-14th will be a more accurate finish.
Carlton will not make the 8 whether with or without Judd and right now it looks like he may not play for a while yet. They have no defence whatsoever. Carlton may kick 20 goals in games and still lose as the opposition may kick 25.
For what it is worth here is my ladder at the end of 22 rounds

Geelong
Hawthorn
Brisbane Lions
Collingwood
Port Adelaide
St Kilda
Fremantle
West Coast

Sydney Swans
Kangaroos
Western Bulldogs
Carlton
Adelaide
Richmond
Melbourne
Essendon

I like that Essendon are predicted to finish on the bottom.

Last year was unusual as there were 4 changes to the top 8 from the previous year but there's always been at least two changes every year since the top 8 has existed with one team coming out of nowhere into the top 4 and another top 4 side bombing out. So going by that:

Geelong
Port
Brisbane
St Kilda
West Coast
Fremantle
Hawthorn
Collingwood
------------------
Sydney
Bulldogs
North
Adelaide
Carlton
Richmond
Melbourne
Essendon
