Who is your highest-profile client now?I work as a consultant for Richmond, as well as Melbourne Storm. Last year I did Darren Gaspar's knee and Wayne Campbell's Achilles.
Gaspar has struggled a bit for form. Has anyone blamed the surgeon? No. His knee's fantastic, absolutely wonderful. He hasn't played footy for a year and probably still isn't 100 per cent with regard to condition. He may have lost a metre in pace, but he'll get that back. I tell most players, be they AFL stars or your weekend warrior, that you're out of action for 9-12 months, once you're back it takes almost another season to regain your strength, confidence, condition. The players that have the big injuries hit their straps the year after coming back.
Hayden Morris played water polo for Victoria and swam butterfly at junior level for Australia. His father, Peter, played 89 games for Richmond from 1955-60.
