Royal on SEN

* What were the expectations going into the Sydney game?
Form of last 5 weeks was good despite not getting the results. Beat them by 24 pts in Narrandera. So we expected to be competitive at least.

* What went wrong?
They're a tough side to beat up there. With modern footy if you're not 100% committed you're going to get beaten. We expected to be more competitive. We missed too many kicks in the first quarter and went to ground to easily - that could be due to it being slippery or the wrong boots. Once the Swans get a good statrt it's hard to stop them.

* How can something so simple as footwear go past the players/coaches?
There's so many footy boots these days - molds, studs, clicks. We just know we had a lot of guys loose their feet so if it was their footwear we're not sure.

* What did you this week?
Got the Swans game out the way quickly on Monday. We thought the result was unusual given we've been so competitive for 5 weeks. Looking at other sides it can quickly turn around - Pies lost by 64 pts to the hawks only 3 weeks ago. We felt we needed to move on and get onto the Adelaide game.

* Schwarz - you had youth and were competiive. The older players Bowden and Pettifer come back in and you produce that.
Bowden was one of our more competitive players in the first half so that's not the case. Only had 2-3 players that were. With so many down across the board you can't pinpoint it that way.

Problem was is his first few opening of his mouth,  l'm surprised at you Chocco
see Sydney is a team who doesnot pride itself on practice matches & never have done under Roos, this including the pre-season series.
Richmond play a pre-season game against Sydney & pride themselves on beating a Sydney side that is doing just that "practice" & trying new things
Thats why when the premiership season opens Richmond is the biggest target cause all clubs want to smack us & keep us down because we get ahead of ourselves
we kill ourselves by getting ahead of where we are really at. we heard less talkin & more onfield progress but every man at the club is on radio/newspaper/or pamplets  :lol what a stuffin joke
