Depends who they will replace? If it is Cogs then I would like to see Collard make the step up though Cartliege (sp?) has been in good form for the Burgers. I don't want to see Howart eleveated unless one of our best midfielders goes down. Silvester is a very long shot given our backline depth and his form both in the preseason Saints game and recent performances playing for Coburg.

So....Collard please!  :thumbsup

Collard for Cogs.

Collard / Edwards / Tambling > Krakouer / Rodan / McGrath

Right now, don't promote any of them.

Silvestor - playing some pretty good football, but do we need another FB at the moment? Not worth the cost at this stage.

Cartledge - see above

Howat - not shown enough yet coming back from injury. Plenty of other better options for his position to justify the cost.

Collard - hasn't shown enough. Why elevate him when he can barely crack Coburg seniors?

LOL @ people saying Collard.

Gee do you go to the ressie games and see him play?

He's walks around for most of the game heavy breathed, hands on hips, lttle jog here little jog there.

very skillful but extremely unfit.

Coburg Reserves are unbeaten and completly annialating everyone in theie path. As a small forward pocket thats heaven.

Really cant see him getting a gig up high but good luck to him if he does.

Thanks for the insight blx! All we see is how many goals he is kicking and if he is named in the ressies best and make a judgement on that. If what you say is true then it would also clear up my question as to why he has not been given a run in Coburgs firsts this year also.

Have you seen the other rookies play first hand of late?

Cartledge is the only one worth upgrading on form but we dont need that type of player so no upgrade.

Save our cash.  :thumbsup

Not disagreeing Wayne but I haven't seen or heard that anywhere.  Can you tell me where you heard/read that?  (Things are a little bit behind up here in Qld, although I am actually working in Canberra for a couple of days - I forgot how cold it gets here)!

He smokey refer to the Cogs injury thread

Just on rookies - with basically a full list to chose from I don't see the need to upgrade anyone. If we had a lot of other injuries yeah definitely but at this moment we don't have.

Don't agree with upgrading a rookie for the sake of it

Certainly the challenge is there, an opportunity is there let's see one of the 4 step and demand it via performance

Just my take

Yeah, I had already looked at the article WP, thats why I asked the question.  I can't see the quoted comment from the post in the original complete article.  Thats why I was wondering if it was a TW quote or someone's comment/opinion.

A waste of money to elevate any of the 4 rookies. Apart from Cogs we have a full list of players to choose from.
