i was thinking the same.
Saints for memory copped it a few weeks also.

the bombers have a very very average side and it shouldn't matter if they get rediculed on every page of the herald sun, we should put them away comfortably...

no excuses lets smash them

As I read somewhere else, the media has put us under the pump for years and it didn't make us play any better.

lol

It can be a one-week spur for some sides though. After the media stuff from those 100-point loses we performed more competitively the week after. We knocked off Adelaide in that keepings off game after being thumped by over 100 points by the Swans.

Agree with Daniel though. As long as we treat the Bombers with the same respect we had for the top sides over the past month and play with the same intensity we should still win.

The Bombers are also copping a different kind of stuff.

It's more sympathetic and kind of concedes that everybody knows it will take time and that their list is not that great.

That's true wayne. Hopefully that doesn't make us complacent after playing the top sides over the past month. We have no right or excuse to be complacent against any side. We're only half a game ahead of them.

Hmmm......

Crows fight 'weakest link' perception
 June 4, 2008 - 5:21PM

When Adelaide take to the MCG on Saturday they won't only be fighting Richmond.

The Crows will also be up against the creeping suspicion around the AFL that they are the weakest link, the side most likely to fall away as the season nears its pointy end.

Adding weight to the theory is the fact a favourable draw has worked to conceal the true value of a side currently nestled inside the league's top four.
