Funnily enough we've won as many 3rd quarters as our other quarters.

1st: 5
2nd: 6
3rd: 6
4th: 6
Total: 23 (from 42) which is the 11th best.

Fair indication of where we are on the premiership ladder also. Shows that we need more consistency as winning an extra quarter here or there will result in more wins and possibly less heart attacks as was the case for some of us on Saturday arvo. Well it has been said that the third quarter is the premiership quarter.
I think it should also be 52 quarters as 13 games by 4 is 52. :thumbsup

A bit more on our 3rd quarters:

Won 6 3rd quarters - with an end result of won 3, drawn 1 and lost 2.
Lost 7 3rd quarters - with an end result of won 2 and lost 5.

Back to the 3rd quarter drawing board  :P.

Whether it was playing after only a 6 day break coming back from Perth, or complaceny with a 4 goal lead, or whatever the reason was, we completely stopped running as a team for the first 15-20 minutes of the 3rd quarter. No first in to the footy, no hard leading into space to offer a option, etc - nothing! Just completely reactive to what Essendon did and most Tigers were too busy ballwatching. We did even out the momentum of the match towards the end of the 3rd quarter to stay in the game but games can be long gone and over in 20 minute lapses which we've already seen this year.

Is it a lack of motion by the players during the ½ time break allowing a build up of lactic acid?
