No surprise with no Coburg game on the weekend. Our quietest player last week was Morton and he wasn't going to be dropped after one poor game.

Good to see Connors and Meyer pushing for selection as emergencies.

Matchups?

Thursty - Steve Johnson
Moore - Mooney
McGuane - Gamble
Schulz - Lonergan

Simmo/Patto - Ottens/Blake
Foley - Ling
Johnson - Bartel
Tuck - Corey
Selwood and Kelly have been dominating too  :-\. Lids and Blingers?

Interesting to see who the Cats play on Richo. Do they go with a Harley or Milburn out of their comfort zone or someone like a Mackie who can play wing.

Ling always damages us.  When was the last time we beat Geelong?

We beat them by 20pts at Kardinia Park in '06.  Before that it was 70pts in '00 at Docklands.  Our record in the last 10 years is won 4, lost 11.  Game that I remember most (apart from last year's shellacking) was the last round in '05 at Kardinia Park.  It was Wayne Campbell's last game and we were 4 goals down at 3/4 time and came home like trains but failed by 1 miserable point.

Yep, 3 in a row from July '98 to Apr '00.  Winning margins of 9pts, 35pts and 70pts.  I'd be happy beating them by 70pts today!   :o

Joel is our only survivor from that 70-point win still in our senior side. He had 30 possies and kicked 2 goals that day. Tivs played but he's now confined to Coburg. Richo was out for the season in 2000 with that foot injury. Ottens played too for us. Harley and Scarlett (both around 21 then) are the only Geelong players left from that flogging we gave them.

Since 1983 our record against Geelong is 9 - 34  :P.
