Brown, Richo okay: Wallace

RICHMOND stars Matthew Richardson and Nathan Brown will be right to play against Adelaide at AAMI Stadium next Sunday, according to coach Terry Wallace.

Brown was a late withdrawal with a virus before Richmond went down to Geelong by 63 points at Telstra Dome on Saturday night, but Wallace said the slick forward/midfielder would be ready to go in round 19.

"Over the last 48 hours we were hoping and hoping he would play, but we had a look at him this morning and he was still probably doubtful and then we got the game tonight and we just didn't think that we'd run him down," Wallace said.

"I didn't think he would be capable of being able to [play]. I expect him to be right this week."

Wallace said Richardson, who sustained a knee injury against the Cats but played out the match and in the process took two outstanding marks, was okay.

"He just jarred himself up a little bit and 'Simmo' [Troy Simmonds] was a bit the same, just at the end of the game. There were no other real issues with the injuries," he said.

Young Tiger Shane Edwards also copped "a head knock", after being tackled by Geelong's Darren Milburn, but again Wallace said he was fine.

"We've got a couple of blokes who had a couple of heavy collisions, but nothing more than that – they'll be sore in the morning, but there are no issues."
