NATHAN FOLEY
Foley has averaged only 80 minutes in his opening two NAB Cup games,
however this hasn’t stopped the Richmond midfielder from racking up 30
plus disposals on both occasions. He has picked up 92 and 94 points per
game, has averaged 1.17 AFL Dream Team Points per minute, but more
importantly has played more game time than any other Tiger midfielder. At
23 years of age, Foley will hit his peak in 2009 which will also be helped by a
stronger midfield around him.
ANDREW RAINES
Raines suffered a season-ending knee injury in Round 2 last season and as
a result, he is cheap as chips in 2009. The Tigers play a high possession
game and this suits Raines. He was outstanding against Fremantle at
Subiaco finishing with 27 disposals and three marks. He backed it up on
Thursday night against Collingwood racking up 23 disposals. He has
averaged 72 points during the NAB Cup and priced at $188,100, he is the
perfect defender.
