Your trade week expectations?

What are you guys and gals expectations for next week's trade period?

Would you be disappointed if the club was fairly inactive?

In order of preference, the situations I would like to see are:

1.  Fairly active in trading away players for second and third round picks.

2. Inactive

3.  Active in trading for players from other clubs in exchange for our draft picks.

I am expecting us to make some sort of trade...

The very thought of it makes me nervous  :help

1. Keep pick 8 at all costs.

2. Only consider trading to get another top 30 pick or a 3-way player trade to pick up a need (ruckman). Otherwise stay out of it and just go to the draft. Top sides develop their own.

3. No other club offcuts - eg: Shane Morrison repeats with the likes of Boyle - "oh the only reason he wasn't getting a game in a premiership side was because Buddy/Roughead were keeping him out. He's the next Jonathan Brown"  :scream

4. No turnover kings like Farren Ray  :help

I would like us to trade away some lower tier players for 2nd or 3rd round picks or for improved picks. I think Schulz's name will certainly be thrown around during Trade Week especially to teams such as the Dogs, Port, Bombers, Eagles and even the Pies who are all looking for KPF. At the moment we have Hughes and Riewoldt ahead of him in the forwardline and Moore, McGuane and Thurstfield ahead of him in the backline. With Polak in doubt I still think he is important for the team but I would not be surprized, especially after almost trading him to Port last year, if he was offered up again this year.

Other players who I would like to see put up is King (though I understand he was just resigned), Raines and even Browny. Players such as JON, Casserly, Meyer and Polo would not have any value and are still young.

I would like to see us only trading for picks or improved picks not players. My only exception to this rule would be if a player was under 23 and proven quality but players such as this would cost us far too much.

So for mine - trade for picks or not trade at all.
