Even with a limited selection, there is still talent in this side and no shortage of tall forwards.

Whatever way you look at this team, it is rubbish, plus we're 3 short!!

Here is our team:

RICHMOND
B: Josh Hunt, Bret Thornton, Matthew Laidlaw
HB: Jordan Lisle, Joel Bowden, Robert Gray
C: Colin Sylvia, Andrew Carrazzo, Matthew Richardson
HF: Chris Tarrant, Brad Fisher, Corey Jones
F: Robbie Tarrant, Jack Riewoldt, Nick Gill
Ruck: Angus Graham, Richard Tambling, Ben McGlynn
Inter: Todd Goldstein

Even with a limited selection, there is still talent in this side and no shortage of tall forwards.
LOL that is an absolute shocker  :help  :rollin.

Break it down into footy basics....
- the possible rucks are untried/kids. Hopefully Gus comes good but he is an unknown.
-  the spine doesn't have one genuine KPP. They are 3rd talls at best.
- the forward line is a soft Tarrant, an injury-prone Fisher, an inconsisent Jones, the untried Tarrant, our young Jack, and Gill who vies with Duncan Kellaway as the worst kick ever to play AFL.
- the backline has 3 untried kids and 3 midsized players.
- as for the midfield  :help. McGlynn as the rover says it all.
- ummm .... what bench  ???
- the only A-grader in that line-up is 34 year old Richo.

Luke Holmesby must be on drugs if he thinks that team is anything other than crap!

And we have some footy commentators like Blight wanting Zones reintroduced  :banghead. God help us if that ever happens  :help. I have always believed the shocking recruiting zones we were given contributed to the financial and onfield demise of Richmond in the 80s. Sure mismanagement at Board level and the club living in the 60s/70s were also major factors but we were starved in both quantity and quality of young players coming through when we needed to replace our aging premiership champions. The club then resorted to ridiculous trading wars and open chequebooks to poach players which sent us broke.

If it wasn't for Richo being in there I would suggest it is a side that deserves to be coached by the Spud  :o

Just to keep the ball rolling now we have all 16 teams, here is my ladder based on these 'zoning' teams:

Port Adelaide
Fremantle
Geelong
Hawthorn
Adelaide
Brisbane
Sydney
Carlton
Essendon
Bulldogs
Collingwood
St Kilda
Nth Melb
West Coast
Melbourne
Richmond

Let's not go back to zoning!  :o
