Who will be our enforcer?
« on: January 22, 2009, 12:35:55 AM »
We know all premiership sides have at least one player who is an enforcer and puts fear into the opposition. Do you folks think we have someone about to step up as an enforcer this year and if not who will become our enforcer?

Reckon Hislop could do a good job if he can keep his aggression under control. We don't need a Solomon.

McGuane and King (if he can get in the seniors) to keep them honest in the back line. Moore looks like he doesn't take too much crap and is not easily intimidated either.

Connors of course, especially when we play Sydney. Big Bad Barry will be shaking. (Still cracks me up thinking about that incident  :thumbsup )

Jacko can look after himself.

Tucky and Newy are tough but I don't really see them as enforcers.

Interesting that All our tough nuts are younger guys. Our senior guys are mostly quiet, keep to themselves types. Not saying they're not tough, just think they avoid the agro rather than making their presence known on the field.

We really have left a lot up to the kids. No wonder we're only just starting to see results.

Shultz, could be that vital aspect of his game that he is missing!

They're probably all not going to play in the side at the same time, but a midfield of Hislop, Thomson, Tuck and Coughlan would be one of the toughest in the league.

McGuane likes to throw his weight around, Connors has a bit of agro as well.

I don't think we have too many pansies in the side now, maybe just Tambling and McMahon off the top of my head.

I think that's a bit tough on Tambo and McMahon wayne. Tambo takes a fair bit of punishment without complaint, and the one think I do see McMahon doing is sticking up for his fellow team mates. I have always been please to see Jordy in remonstrating with the opposition in defence of the team. He may not be particularly scary, lol, but at least he has a go.

Yeah probably not pansies, but not the scariest looking guys in the team.

Tuckys the best fighter in the club and I would suggest the hardest but Snakes a blackbelt.

I would suggest that McGuane  probably  would be the man as he shows the most agression and likes to hurt them.

Yeah, but both Tuck and Simmo are too sportsman like. Hard they may be but they don't have the mongrel to put the fear of death into their opponent. We need a Neil Balme, Kevin Sheedy or Robbie McGhie in the team, preferably all three.

JON or Hislop. Can't split them, maybe we do a poll ?
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”
