I don't go to away matches, period
That's my prerogative and I don't need to explain myself to you or anyone else, Popelord.
I can't see well enough for our home games let alone subject myself to going to away games where I don't see the game either.
Years ago when I could see, I went to every single game and interstate.
Not going to games has never stopped me buying my membership, and doing lots of other stuff to help my club.
Lots of people can't go for a variety of reasons
They give what they can give.
The rest of your post I agree with.

If you read the post I said it's directed at a minority. The tiger fans who attended were magnificent and you could tell the cannibals stayed at home. Seeing grown men hug is a wonderful thing. There are hundreds of reasons why passionate supporters don't attend x amount of games. This thread was directed at the supporters who attend rounds 1-3 every year. Anything but a 3-0 is unacceptable and rip our great football club to shreds over the radio, internet and papers. Those people were noticeably absent in the stands.

To them I say stay home.

I'm not all into "I told you so",

Then why start an "I told you so" thread?

I can't stand "keyboard owners" lashing out at players full stop, whether it be in the form of media articles or forum posts.

Maybe internet forums aren't for you then!
Just a suggestion, maybe you should stick to reading 'AFL record' or some such other magazine.

Your "internet name" certainly suits your holier than thou attitude!

What a waste of time that was to read.
Go Tigers!

None of your business what others choose to do
This line of thinking makes me sick
What gives you the right to say those that choose to stay home aren't Richmond people
Who gives a stuff if we don't add to the coffers of the Kangaroos
They can die for all I care.

I dont think you should equate support or love for the team with the number of games they attend or which games they attend.

Yes I was there on Saturday Night but it might be only one or two games I can attend for the season. Attendance of games or lack there of does not remove ones right to be passionate about the players performances good or bad. Your preface of "directed at the minority" does not justify this slur on non attending supporters.

You both have missed the point horribly.

I previously said that there are hundreds of reasons why passionate Richmond people can't attend games.

This is 100% addressed to the same band wagon supporters every year that turn up to Round 1-3 and then jump off because we aren't the same team of the 70's. They get on the radio and slam us for days on end. I have every right to criticize the pea hearts that say they are so passionate about the club yet tear our players apart publicly after 1 or 2 games and sit at home for the rest of the season. The game was noticeably more positive from the Richmond faithful and I love the fact it was. We had the right people supporting us the real Richmond fans (not saying teh ones at home aren't) but the fake Richmond fans were noticeable absentees, and it should stay that way.

This topic has nothing to do with people not attending for what ever reason, how ever soft they may be its irrelevant to what the topic is about.

How clearer would you like it to be??

Clear as mud, it's none of your business or mine what people do.
I managed to get my sister to come to games this year, after years of not following the club
I'm not sure she is really happy about doing that after our first four games.
But no matter how many games she attends, it's her prerogative to attend 0 or all 22 games.  She owes the club nothing.  The club gets her membership, that's the bottom line.
Bandwagon supporters, as much as they may annoy you, are better than none.

Seeing grown men hug is a wonderful thing.

You like seeing grown men hug
You are involved with an u/18's boys side
You have a handle which suggests dominant catholicism

And you think other Richmond supporters are suss?
Experience is a good school. But the fees are high.
