Richmond Coaches Role - The Black Hole of AFL Footy.

Anyone noticed that anyone who coaches Richmond never again coaches anywhere else

Wallace - Gone and seemingly retired for ever on his own admission
Frawley - Gone never got another club coaching job
Gieschen - Gone never got another club coaching job
Walls - Gone never got another club coaching job
Northey left and got a job at Brisbane for a couple of years and then that was the end for him as well.

Richmonds senior coaching position is the black hole of AFL Footy.

You need a tough disciplinarian, a credible leader, a bloke with a decent sized ego, someone who can bring respect to the football club, and probably come from successful places.

Black hole of players too most of the time Ramps.

They are either maligned 10 year plus players
Cast offs from other clubs who play here never play again
High draft picks who fail and never play again.

Last player to leave Richmond that I can remember that had a decent career elsewhere was Craig Lambert. Possibly Prescott and Bond too.

Maybe I am suffering from alzheimers but I can't think of us booing too many players for playing elsewhere after they played with us.

I also heard the guy call into SEN with that useless piece of information. It applies to most clubs and very few coaches coach at more than one club.

When did the call happen. I know that I made no calls today to any radio station.

Ramps - it was around 12.30 today.

It's just useless info and not even accurate because Northey is in there - and he was poached by Brisbane, not sacked, had a year to run on his contract.

Who was the last coach of St Kilda to coach elsewhere? Essendon? Melbourne? Brisbane? Freo? Port? Carlton?

It's just heaping more crap onto our club.

Yeah - best meal I've ever had at the footy - even my lovely wife was impressed.

Here's some more players who escaped from the "black hole"

Jamie Tape
Ben Holland
David Rodan
Mathew Clarke
Chris Bond
Nick Daffy (stella career at swans)
Justine Murphy
Father Cloke
Raines  :)
Woods  :)
Ronny Branton (not really)

Terry excelled himself last night - stayed on an extra week 'cause he didn't want to leave the new coach with a short turnaround - such grace, such care, so selfless.

Worst game for Cotchin - got caught sooo many times.
