We are so far away from it, it's not funny!!!
Last nights game was horrible to say the least, there were long periods of the game (5 minutes or more) when we could not even touch the footy. And our dispossal was as bad as i have seen in any AFL game ever!!

I thought it was the Crows who were playing keepings off.  Apart from the first quarter they practically shut the game down by not attcking.  At least some of our boys took the game on even though it came unstuck at times with poor disposal.

Also, what is with not making a move on Tipitt, Tipitt is an ok player at best but if he is clearly beating Cat, a second game player who got 5 goals kicked on him last week, and with Moore, Thirsty, Mcguane and even Post in our side why not make the move!!!!

There was a move, Sylvestor was taken off him in the second half.  Or is half a game too much to give him, maybe after Tippet got one goal the change should have been made.  ::)

We are so far away from it, it's not funny!!!

Well done Tigers, we are the laughing stock of the AFL. AGAIN!!!

Yes we are so far away from it, unfortunately we have a very young side and like or lump it have another rebuild in front of us, and to get maximum value from this year must unfortunately lose games to do so.

Laughing stock; hardly I think most people gave credit to a young inexperienced side not throwing the towel in
Mate, take off the rose colloured glasses for a minute! We were really bad Saturday night and some late goals more than flattered us. So what if were younger, played less games, weighed less, these are all just excuses Richmond supporters live on! It's time for all of us to stop making excuses and start becoming men; we are after all a very proud and strong AFL club. Well?....

And as for Cat, I was not at the game, and watching on TV may have looked worse but he at least played on Tippet until three quarter time and the game was over.

Now I know round one was a long time ago but before that game we were tipped by most to make the finals, we have lost our coach and the best result for us for the remainder of the year is to tank, so yes we are the laughing stock like it or not!!!

I was there and Cat was switched to the FWD line early in the thrid qtr when Jack went down back.

Was very pleased with Vickery's game. Thought it was the first time he was really up with the tempo of the game for the entire game  :clapping

I cant understand why you are so fired up Big Tone

I think the team is tanking beautifully.

The skill level wasn't pretty on saturday night but I find it hard to criticise the endeavour shown by our young team.

Are we a laughing stock ?.......Probably.Theres not a lot of respect for Richmond out there.

But at least the club is picking teams with an eye on the future which is all we can hope for.

agree mat

and even neil craig gave us praise, he knows we outplayed them for 3 quarters and they were lucky they got that far ahead.
we had a pretty raw team with many vfl standard players and took it up to them

Yes I would have thought the PRO-TANKERS would be delighted with the result on Saturday.

As I said last week if you want losses you don't and shouldn't get a say in how they are achieved  :rollin

Seriously there were some good signs to come out of Saturday night. When the run and carry comes off it looks great  :clapping

Great result for our club but more importantly they didnt stop trying and fought it out till the end.

I wouldnt mind using our last win on the Blues though. :thumbsup

SEN just had David Noble from the Crows talking about the game. He said Richmond is up there with the best 5 goal+ a quarter teams in the competition so when we had the ball we gave them headaches. Obviously other clubs think defensively we suck and they can exploit it.

Yep happy with the efforts of the cubs and the final close-ish margin keeps the media off our backs but even a pro-tanker can still say the gamestyle is still awful and inefficient. Too much overuse of handball because we are too short and small up forward and we need to run the ball up forward by hand. Given we are putting a side out on the park that is 2 years younger per player and half as experienced as our opposition I don't think a gamestyle with a better forward structure will put the tank at risk lol.
