Richo on SEN @ 6.45pm
« on: July 28, 2009, 07:23:50 PM »
Summary

* Richo said he had long-term injuries when he was younger but this is the first for a long time. Disappointing to miss 3 months.

* Just want to get through the upcoming month and decide the future after that.

* Not uncomfortable with Jade as senior coach as he has been there for 2 years already so it's business as usual.

* Had a brief chat with Jade when he became coach but will have a main one this week now he is back.

* 60-70% gametime this week at Coburg. Not sure what position.

* Turtle cafe which burnt down will reopen in 6 months. Richo is a local of it.

* Final decision on the Richo's future will be made in September. We'll know who'll be coach by then.

* Every year guys are playing for their career. We don't talk about it and just focus on the now.

* Buckley - we can now take the media speculation out of it and the Club can just focus on the candidates.

* Richo rates St Kilda, then Geelong and then a gap to the Dogs, Crows, Pies and Hawks.

* Dermie has been good with the young forwards. Helping them to learn to bust open packs. Richo hasn't had much to do with Dermie himself as he's been injured.

* Riewoldt - he held his marks and kick his goals (only one point) and got rewarded.

* Post - exceptional hands. Schwarz said there's similarities there. No he and Postie aren't related lol.

* Cleve - has been tantilising at times in the past (6 goals last year). Polak's accident had a big affect on him. It's also a confidence issue.

* Cotch - one of the most naturally gifted footballers to walk into the club.

* Lids - His past 3 weeks have been really good. He's even had tagging roles and played on Judd which he won hands down in Richo's opinion. It's hard to play well in a poor side. Lids has been consistent without being outstanding this year.

* Richo won't be going to the Brownlow. He's gone every second year anyway. He went to the downlow one year to watch Monky win it.
