Longmire to takeover from Roos at Sydney

Longmire to takeover from Paul Roos in 12 months time.

So Longmire is another who has rejected the North job. Also affects us in a way as North will now focus their search for a new coach more on the candidates we are also interviewing.

Maybe Paul Roos to Richmond is the "huge coup"?  Fits in with Mopsy's call that the next coach starts with "R"!

Aaahhh well, we can all dream.

If you dont mind his negative and boring style of play, and yes I know they have won a premiership and played in finals consistently under him.

According to Ch 7, Longmire was told he wasn't North's preferred candidate so the Swans' offer to him was easy to accept.

I'm absolutely with you 100% on this one Chucky. I dared to suggest on another thread that Roos' style was a disgrace and a blight on the game, and was howled down for it. Here's hoping that Pongmire has a few more ideas than simply throwing every player and the kitchen sink on the ball at all times.

Whispers on 3aw saying North may have not even spoken to Longmire.
