GWS vs BULLDOGS Preliminary Final
« on: September 24, 2016, 06:37:07 PM »
First half played on the Dogs' terms. Clay Smith with 4 goals just from playing old school front and square at stoppages.

Giants have stagefright. Players dropping sitters and falling over with no one around them. Leon will blast them at half-time.

Doggies had the guts, smarts and legs in the end. They deserve their place in the big one.

On the other hand, Rhys Palmer won't play senior footy again, while Stevie J was a massive loss for the Giants. That one forced selection change cost GWS a place in the Grand Final.

Agreed. If Cal Ward played the entire game they would have won IMO. Lacked a little leadership when the game was on the line.

Good game, good win, congrats to the Doggies for making a GF.  Trouble is, I have a horrible feeling they wont get within 10 goals of the Swines ...    :-\
After watching both games this weekend I felt there was a massive difference in the standard ... about 10 goals worth of difference ...    :-\

One of the best games I've seen in a long time.

Both teams are everything we hope to see from our team but we are miles & miles from anything resembling that sort of tough uncompromising endeavour that I witnessed tonight.

But we can all be well assured that Hardwick has the right characteristics to be a premiership coach  :shh :rollin :whistle

Like tonight, I'll be barracking for the Dogs on Saturday.  :clapping
The club that keeps giving.

Looking forward to seeing the likes of B.Ellis, Grigg, Houli, Edwards, Astbury, Griffiths & Hamspud all transforming into hardworking, fierce tackling, shepherding hard nuts with excellent disposal, decision making and composure under pressure... :gotigers
