Cogs and Brown have been told tonight this is there last game for the RFC.

Confirmed by David King just now on 3aw

* Cogs hasn't been able to get his body right for a long long time. A warrior for this club.

* Browny hasn't been able to get back to his best form also due to injury.

* Not the players choice. A decision made from higher up the club. King wouldn't/couldn't say who.


Edit: Confirmed by Jade as well on SEN. Both were told it's over in the last two weeks.

very easy decision to let these 2 go. one is a selfish footballer and the other is not good enough.

Brown will try and play on at another club.

if we can pick up McMahon then someone will be that stupid to take a gamble on Brown.

Not the first time and certainly wont be the last I'm just digusted at some of the posts on here.
How short memories some monkey's have.

Cogs one of the best youngest best and fairests winners the club has ever had. Browny may have taken us deep deep into September if he hadnt broken his leg.

Don't get me wrong the decision was correct, would be nice if some decency was used in talking about these guys last game.
Pretty pathetic stuff.

All the best Nathan you may get picked up you may not certainly enjoyed watching you in your prime especially kicking 5 in the last qtr to beat the Collywobbles.
Cogs, with some luck you could have continued to be a gun for the club, shattering story to be forced out of teh game for years with such a bad run of injury. Gutsy gutsy Richmond man.

Yep no hard feelings towards Browny or Cogs. Both cut down by serious injury  . We only saw a year from Cogs and 9 and 3/4 games from Browny when he was in the top 5 players at the time. We were robbed of seeing their best. Worst still we are a club that can ill afford to have our few best and most promising players' careers cut short due to serious injury. A credit to them to fight on to make it back but it wasn't meant to be. It's a cruel game sometimes.
