primarily i see a spoilt, petulant group of athletes who have been able to fire their coach at random or at best, hide behind excuses rather than accept their position as senior, professional athletes playing for a struggling team.

Part of the culture problem imo....

The ability if the coach until now has been secondary overall, in assessing the teams true desire or lackof to represent the rfc.

Ben Cousins has done a lot to change things for the better - ironic aint it !

Good thing impressing you isn't on the prerequisites list

Interesting that Ben Cousins has done something to change things.
Shouldnt the coaches change the culture and cull players that dont measure up :banghead
And also recruit players accordingly.

WRONG,
I actually stick up for people that I  have worked with and respect and learnt from. I dont let personal views get in the way of performance.

Actually I stick up for those I respect and those who respect me. As for assessing performances, I base that on assessing people's entire performance not just selecting what I deem relevant

An our perfomance repeatedly has been poor for a long long time.
We all agree, that new blood and ideas are needed at Punt Rd.

I stick up for anyone who hasnt personally let me down! They can cheese  other people off as they like but until they do it to me, then theyre ok! Too many people on this forum think they can slag off a person purely because they are not good footballers, or because they did a caretakers role as coach and left at the end, or because they got traded to the club, or because they got offered 5 contracts and they took it................ do they deserve to be called, as one person labelled Jade,a softie even though they have done nothing to personally insult that person? I think not!

Go Richo are you still upset that Jade "your man" didnt get the job. Get over it pal

who could forget your posts when we beat the Eagles and Demons, claiming the "players played for him , and we are playing a better brand of football under Jade... bla bla bla

Jade is a softie, simple as that. He proved he is not fit to coach AFL Football, that much was obvious

players dont respond to the likes of him and Wallace.
Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Daniel, i am over it! Im over the whole subject! Damien got the job and he has my support now! I refuse to now bag Damien simply because he was not my preferred candidate! But i fear you would in my situation! Jade may be a softie, but hey, he has played footy at the highest and now coached at the highest level. Achievements you have failed to reach. I guess that makes a softie a better man than you!

CHICKEN OR EGG ?

Believe it or not,we are still suffering (thgis year)from the Frawley occupation.

If u wanna talk coaches, have we even had a good one since Tommy Hafey ?

Jewell won us a flag but had Sheedy as his assistant and pretty much was a token for the job.

Bottom line is,they have all been either morons, soft or soft morons.

How can an axe fall on someone when they have actually quit  ??? ::) ;D

cause he chopped his own toes off  ;D by not having the backing of the players so he had no option but to quit.

I actually have met him in a social enviroment , in a pub with the other coaches, Wasnt impressed at all, thought he was a dope was my first impression. smoke hanging out of his gob, pot in the other,  I thought at the time, gee we really need this as an assistant.
He didnt inspire me at all,.
I call it as I see it.
You can see why the likes of Sheedy , Parkin and Matthews were successful, they inspire players to walk tall.

So I can make a call on a person if I have met them in a "social environment"  ;D

So therefore, I can say I've met Sheedy in a "social environment" (which I have) and I wasn't impressed thought he was away with the pixies to be honest ... I call it as I see it... on that occassion he didn't inspire me at all  ;D

Made a complete "'goose "" of himself when he ranted on about him loving the players and club etc.
Better to keep your mouth shut one would think.
You will find he quit as putting it a nice way as there wasnt a position there him.

Furthermore, OUR FOOTBALL CLUB HAS BEEN A FAILURE. Gettting rid of non performers or people who AINT up to it is a step forward.
I find it staggering people sticking up for people as they like them ::)
Football is a cut throat business, in which the RFC has FAILED badly in the past 25 years.

exactly how it is  :clapping :clapping :clapping
