Nick Stevens Assistant Coach?
« on: September 16, 2009, 06:43:24 PM »
Heard some decent mail that Nick Stevens is seriously thinking about retirement.

Apparently going to become an Assistant under Hardwick at Richmond.

They both played together in 2002 for Port.

Has this been spoken or heard of yet?

He should become our new dietician.

I would like to think that Dimma could atrract some assistants who have actually been assistants before and have some good credentialls rather than bringing in newbies who will us our club as a trial and error facility and move on. I am sure Dimma has some good contacts from his past playing days that he played with at Essendon and Port as well any contacts he has made at Hawthorn.

Furthermore if Stevens came would he be the midifield coach? Would that sit well with Campbell being the current midfield coach? How would he take it? Does that fit into Campbell's agenda? Right now I highly doubt it.

I hope his coaching mantra is different to his playing style
Very unaccountable, unfit and dropped for not playing team football

forget about Stevens. another selfish who just roams around getting cheap ball.

Ill pass stuff him.

god knows why we dont move heaven and earth for a guy like SOS.

he is a proven assistant at saints and buldogs previously.

Was a winner at the Blues and he would be perfect fit as our defensive coach.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

I'm not sure SOS would be entertaining offers from rival clubs while St Kilda are in the middle of a Premiership campaign, Dan.  ;)

True TA but it wouldn't hurt to let his management know that we are looking at a defensive coach just like him.
We should have a bit of spare cash after hiring a 1st year coach and now 1st year assistant.

Wouldnt surprise me if he pulled the pin as a player - he's really struggled for consistency ever since his neck injury.

And by gee he'd be such a good get too. But highly unrealistic at this stage. If the Saints don't win this year I'm sure he will stay with them, I know I would.

When Ratten falls over at the Blues I can see Silvagni fitting in there nicely and I reckon he will do a good job to
