- It was stressful offseason for the Club. However it's a positive story for Dusty over the past three and a half months.
Timeline since August:
- Pre-Christmas - club fearful what may lie ahead.
- October at Lids wedding. Dusty late for the wedding after being with Connors. Arrived with his condition concerning to the Club. He had a seriously infected foot. Still unknown why. Cambo crucial part in Dusty's life. Had to take him to the hospital. As well as Connors, there's another retired player from another club out there who is a concern to Richmond regarding Dusty.
- Decision taken by Cotchin for Dusty to come and live with him. Ended up being 30-40 days. Life changing experience in Dusty's life.
- Also Mark Williams has been a massive positive taking Dusty personally under his wing.
- Dusty also has taken on a one-day a week job.
- There was one misdemeanour since Christmas but Dusty handled it well himself according to the club.
- Club will open negotiations with Dusty's manager in the next month to lock him away for a long time at the Club. Something that may not have happened late last year. Worries were real but now the Club is convinced he is on the right track.
- All the horrible stuff rumoured over the summer is untrue. You know how these things work and the media would've been all over it if the horrible stuff alleged was true. Media has looked into it and the 'rumours' are simply not true.
