Say what you want but this reeks of the Ottens saga$

It couldn't have less similarities if it tried.

Don't agree. A walk out is a walk out!

You are really Ralph Carr - right?

No, not a slug with a rug, more of a reactionary mug that tugs.

Mick on before the game said it right when he said Martin is a victim of poor advice. Nixon correct as well on this point.

Barrett on the Sunday Footy Show just said Dustin Martin will need to take a substancial pay cut if he is to stay at Richmond. The Club is now offering him $420k p.a. which is $80k less than the previous offer that Dusty and his manager rejected and a "whopping" $180k less than what Dusty and his manager were seeking.

OMG!!  I've just read the article and here's some news to flatten everyone's Sunday:

I can even reveal a little known football fact surrounding new Melbourne coach Roos. He presented to a selection panel at Richmond for an assistant coaching role in 2000 but so impressive was he they offered him the senior role that eventually went to Danny Frawley.

Roosy knocked it back and instead began as an understudy to Rodney Eade at Sydney.

Sounds like Barrett is talking crap again. You can believe the Club will offer less than the $500k offer that was pulled after Carr rejected it but not less than what Dusty is getting now.

RFC would offer the same deal as they did before they withdrew it. There attitude would be, "Right, now that the rubbish is over and done here's our offer agin which you now will agree is fair."

If we are keeping Martin I doubt we will be looking to punish him. Certainly not to the tune of $30K less than what he is on now.

Staggered that Barrett would report that. It seems so ridiculous, even if you had a decent source on it you would discard. What a headline grabbing little monkey he is. Pathetic journo.

I agree O, although you would love the club to say to Dusty "we'll re-table the same offer on the condition you ditch Carr".   :pray
