Well lets keep our fingers crossed then.

Just because a kid leaves school at year 9 doesnt mean hes a ratbag. Lots of ratsbags have completed school and gone to uni. In the end, 2 things count- 1 can he play 2) is he an honest kid thats prepared to work hard?

Nah. There are many reasons he may have left, not all of them because he is stupid. Even if he is I can think of quite a few champions of the game whom I wouldn't credit as having very much brain power. Dermie, Carey, GA snr spring to mind without even trying.

Sounds like he left school and continued his education at TAFE

The fact that Choco and Co labelled the lad 'dumb' might've put a wry smile on young Dustin's face!! I reckon I would've be laughing hysterically if the Alberton basket cases had the cheek to call the kettle black  :D

kudos if he did go on with something other than just footy over the past two years or so  :)

relax people, he is applying for a Football Career, not a course at Melbourne University.

what springs to my mind is what D.Hardwick said when he was announced as Richmond coach.

along the lines of ...

"i want our players to leave a better person once they have done their time at Richmond"

Martin could be that example, after 300+ matches and Premierships  :thumbsup

having his parents split up could of influenced his Year 9 drop-out maybe?

however, he sounds confident and hunger.

hopefully he gets as big as a Kiwi and plays like Lenny Hayes and Joel Selwood.

Welcome to Richmond Dustin!

 :)

Now I am a little more worried........ I just wished the hell they would stop the Martin articles and pump up Scully and Trengove. :scream

WAT, I am thinking we should start calling you WORT as in WORRY WORT  :rollin :rollin :rollin

this is the first "Martin article" I've read

Bottom line is he is more likely to end up at Richmond than not end up at Richmond..

If he doesn't we end up with either Scully or Trengrove.... nothing to worry about at all

If Martin was runner up B&F for the Pioneers, who won?
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

going down the midfield draft track again spells doom for Tigerland  :banghead
we need KPP to build around in the forward line
