lmao at the retired players segment with Brayshaw...carrying on they're all stuffing decorated war veterans... ::)

I quite liked it but totally agree with the analogy.
AFL as a game takes itself way too seriously.
The players talk about how much fun it is, our coach talks about how the box is his “happy place” and we all know it’s bulltish when they wrap themselves up in self indulged rubbish for 3 hours on Brownlow night.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Really good analogy Dio.

I know he's been through alot with his concussion and getting medically retired but I just felt he was over the top with his "praise" for the retiring players. And at times I also thought he sounded so bitter that he was suffering from "PLOM" disease...

He could have retired sooner if he wanted?

Honestly they should all be forced to sign waivers.

No responsibility on the club or AFL.

It's their choice to work in this industry and take the wages!

‘0.1 PER CENT CHANCE’ OF MARTIN-SUNS MOVE

After last week claiming there was a “zero-to-one per cent chance” Dustin Martin would unretire and head to Gold Coast to resume his career with the Suns, former Richmond triple premiership captain Trent Cotchin has doubled down.

“Dimma is a convincing person, and they (Hardwick and Martin) obviously have a great relationship, but I have moved even closer to the ‘zero per cent’,” Cotchin told Seven’s Talking Footy.

“I’m going to say (there’s) not even 0.1 per cent of a chance ... That’s how confident I am.”

Richmond Tigers legend Dustin Martin skips retiring players parade

Richmond superstar Dustin Martin did not take part in the retiring players parade on grand final day as speculation around a move to Gold Coast continues to swirl.

The three-time Norm Smith medallist retired before the end of this season, but did not join other members of the class in the cavalcade.

Mystery still surrounds where he will play next year, with the Tigers legend reportedly in early talks to join his premiership coach at the Suns.

Martin also skipped the Brownlow Medal on Monday night.

Dusty couldn’t give 2 stuffs about being this regardless of whether he was genuinely considering playing next year or not.

Yeah Buddy not doing the GF parade was a big story. There was talk this meant he was going to play for another year.
