How much longer should we keep him? Reckon there's a chance he'll be delisted at the end of 2013 possibly 2014.
He is 21.....
So what? He's shown absolutely nothing.
so lets look at the big picture and ask. are there good reasons why hes shown little to date?
remember most talls dont even get close to their full potential at 24.
yes theres been no incremental improvement as hes gone but thats hard to achieve when you have as many injuries as this bloke has had. these kids may put on size as they go that does not mean core strength that usually takes a fair while.
he should be developing at coburg hopefully at chf and with time on his hands. we should be patient and lower our expectations on these kids especially those who have had a lot of injury.
major concern for me with this kid is his pace and hes not done a lot in the air ie taking contested marks to date. for me improvement in these areas are the goal.
i would have thought given all the circumstances astbury is safe this yr even if its a poor yr. if hes where he is now at the end of 2014 well then maybe we need to look at cutting him.
