Yep.

Hand bounced off the shoulder and his elbow slipped up. Pure accident.

Grimesy deserves extra credit for the way onfield he is leading such a young and inexperienced backline and getting them to connect as a unit.

In All-Australian form too.

Yep, he’s gonna promise the umps that cladding is a better option than weatherboards
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Out until finals? Another soft-tissue blow for star Tiger

By Callum Twomey

RICHMOND is expecting Dylan Grimes' hamstring injury to be minor but concedes the gun defender could be out of action until this year's finals series.

Grimes suffered the injury during the Tigers' win over West Coast on Thursday night in the only sour point to the 27-point victory.

Coach Damien Hardwick said the club was optimistic Grimes would only be sidelined for a short period of time, even though it was likely to include multiple games as the AFL kicks into another crammed fixture block.

"We think it's on the minor end of the scale but we'll have it scanned either tomorrow or the day following and we'll give you guys the information," Hardwick said post-game.

"Dyl's had some history [with soft-tissue injuries] so we just have to be mindful with such an important players for us and one of the best defenders in the AFL. We've got to make sure he's right for when the whips are cracking."

Richmond's final game of the home and away season is scheduled for Saturday, September 19 against Adelaide, meaning any longer than a 23-day recovery from the injury would mean he won't play again until the finals.

"We're very conservative with these type of injuries and he's such an important player to the way we play. We just want to make sure he's back and he's right," Hardwick said.

“It started to get tight early on in that second quarter and I said to the doctor, ‘It’s starting to feel a bit iffy’,” Grimes told Channel Seven.

“Just on that lead with Liam Ryan … a couple of explosive steps I just felt a slight little pop but nothing too major.

“I’ve done a few hamstrings before and it didn’t feel like a really bad one.”

Sam Edmund on SEN said Grimes has a standard hammy. So in doubt to play before finals given our last H&A game is Sept. 19. Club will be cautious as it is his first hammy since the time when he had regular hammy problems. Club will be hoping for a pre-finals bye to give him plenty of time to get right.
