Was probably his lowest point since his early years today and deserves that to be said but as a 3 time premiership player doesn't deserve some of the vitriolic comments on here. Come on guys, you are better than this.

Pretty hectic day and have only seen the last quarter and a half.

So with that said it seems if Balta has a bad day there is no one to stop opposition talls getting on top.

The little ive seen this week and last week i keep asking myself where is the the help in the air.
People are not criticising Young it seems because he actually got a bit of ball but he is one of two kpds and last week and the bit i saw this week he hardly impacted in the air or left his man and helped out.

Will sit down and watch a replay but as poor as Grimes and Balta  was according to people their two talls still kicked 10 goals between them.
Some of that has to be down to not just the two mentioned.

Have said a few times in threads i would not be surprised if Grimesy retires at seasons end after today if people are correct it is probably even more open to that possibility.
Like others i think he has really struggled most games this year.

Grimes signed a contract extension after round 4 or 5, so he wont be retiring

He should however IMHO give up the captaincy and just concentrate on his own game

7news tonight actually said Grimes is "likely to come under scrutiny for a dangerous tackle".

It wasn't even a dangerous tackle :facepalm.

What about Dusty getting sling tackled over the line, if he had hit his head…

I actually thought Grimes played one of his better games for the year. Helped with having no genuine forwards. But on Rioli most of the day and did OK.

Grimes won't go for that. He didn't hit his head on ground not was their any impact or injury. Impact nil so no grading. Ridiculous thing to report.
Go Tigers!

Reckon he should retire as a protest  :shh
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

No surprise, the MRO didn't even look at or mention it.

Dylan Grimes

It was a down season for Richmond and Dylan Grimes was one of the many who struggled to perform to the lofty standards he has set over the years. His rating took a 38 per cent dive this season and the Tigers’ defence struggled as a result. It’s part of the reason the Tigers are desperate to get Josh Gibcus back to full fitness, given the promise the high-end draft pick has shown when he has been out on the park.

According to Mitch Cleary, Grimesy is no certainty for round 1 either with a persistent calf injury.
