Starting 18: predicting round one's defences

RICHMOND

B: Kel Moore, Will Thursfield, Alex Rance
HB: Chris Newman, Luke McGuane, Shane Edwards

The Tigers have taken 14 new players into their den over the summer, but don't expect to see too many of them getting a game early in the season, especially in the backline. Young Jayden Post is likely to play back, but the Tigers expect all three of their talls from last year to be fit for round one. Thursfield is over his shoulder problems, which means Post is unlikely to start on the ground. Watch for Edwards and Newman to both push up through the middle. Andy Collins and Daniel Connors could also give drive off half-back.

sheesh i hope they are wrong.
rance edwards and mcguane what a fantastic threesome superb skills.no worrys of the ball being coffed up with these three.
and then theres thursty i can  just see him picking up his regular 20 plus possies a game and taking on and beating the monsters. and moory the model of consistency rarely has a poor season is never injured. and then theres our skipper newman would have to be the most accountable player in the comp.

aaaaaggghhhh if only it were all true.

Now I like that backline, lets hope Rance can get it together as I would have him replace Farmer.

rance's form would require a complete turnaround to be considered, it's possible

Yeah it would need a complete turnaround, but there is just something about Rance I like, I don't think Saturday night was a true reflection of his ability.

Now bring on the doubters.... :help
