Team for Round 2

Footy Show had added to the squad - Polo Polak Browne Graham Post King Rance

They also compared Ben Nason to Bo Derek in 10 for matching hair.

Would love to see Browne come in and have a go in the ruck.

Well if we play King, Edwards, Farmer and Polo in the same team we are screwed IMO, Polo not so much but the three very short players in the same team..... ??? ???

Rance to CHB mcGuane as a makeshift CHF makes sense IMO.

Well that would be good I think and well overdue, but then how does that affect the structure we have apparently been building.

what about Jayden Post to CHF!

If Harwick has a plan for Post at CHB who are we to argue??
That's where Post played his best junior football.

Richmond stuffed around with Schulz's development by throwing him all over the park.
I don't want to see the same thing happen with Post. Just let him master a position.

McGuane is a much more battle hardened body than Jayden currently and will be able to take the hits week to week at CHF.
He'll contest well in the air and will also provide some much needed defensive pressure o the opposition. He is a better option there than Polak IMO.
If he's a success there great, if not then ship him off to the GC at year's end at which time hopefully Astbury & or Griffiths have shown enough to replace him up front.

Current Team:

B: Thursfield
HB: Moore Post
HF: McGuane
FF: Riewoldt

Future team:

B: Thursfield
HB: Post
CHF: Astbury Riewoldt
FF: Griffiths

McGuane GC17

SEN saying there'll be a few changes to the side and Polak is strongly in the mix.

Last week it appeared obvious that we needed an additional tall in the forward line and that there was too little forward and midfield pressure on the ball carriers.

In this day and age, you only need one of the mids or forwards to lose concentration or puff and the opposition can make large holes in your defensive zone.  I was dismayed by the way Carlton was able to run the ball through the corridor.

I'd like to think that a tall is added to the team and that we replace the mids and small forwards who let us down defenisively.  Granted that I watched the game on the idiot box and it's different from being there.
