Astbury - 3 goals is a decent return on debut although two were moreso opportunistic than from traditional marks on a lead. Nice set shot kick for his 3rd. Showed enough as he did in the NAB Cup that there's plenty to work with.

Dea - first quarter was a debut's nightmare with 3 turnovers resulting in Melbourne goals. The poor kid found out the hard way there's less time and space to try look away handpasses in the backline. Next time kick it Matty as he had zero kicks.

Taylor - looks the type who with some more experience and polishing will be a dangerous player for us if and when we become a good side. Some good chases and pressuring and clean ball-handling which is something desperately needed at Punt Rd.

Would totally agree.
With Taylor, needs to look at his defensive side a bit better, fair debut.
Like Astbury, will move past Post very quickly

This will sound bad for the Post fans but Astbury has already gone past Post whose gotten ahead of himself for someone whose done nothing in footy.

Hopefully Griffiths will go past him as well!
