Well it hurts that we must celebrate such small achievements, but winning 2 quarters in a game is probably uncharted waters for this group.

Since we lack the attacking options and organization, I think they now realise what is required to win a game over a four quarter arm wrestle.

Still the opposition putting on 53 points in the last term is a horror show (what happened I went to dinner?)

Edwards showed improvement, Webberley can kick properly, tackling and aggression over first 3 quarters.

Watching Richmond is like watching Groundhog Day. Only i remember laughing a few times during the movie. The shyt they served up in the last half today is laughable!
The only positive is that a few of these pretenders are a little closer to being shown the door.

Impressed with Edwards kicking & attack on the ball
Tuck needs to play forward his kicking at goals is what we need
Nahas attacking & tackling. His 2nd & 3rd efforts while Rewoldt watches were terrific
Polo hit on Douglas & taking him out after he started getting beat, Thats how its done show some mongrel

You are right Jack no positives ::)

I thought our commitment was great for 3 quarters.

Webberley good debut

Nason Martin and Cotchin

and with a bit of luck the umps could have given us something in the second and theird quarters when they just thought that putting the whistle away. How Moore did not get a free kick when Burton was legging him is beyond me as an example that comes to mind.

Maybe Adelaide were terrible because we actually were not that bad just could not keep up the intensity in the last. . Again some positives in my eyes.

Its not only about positives its about second efforts and third efforts from Nason and he has a huge heart and appetite for it compared to Tambling who has a half hearted effort and yes we may have been overrun in the end but critically in the last he was half hearted going for the ball and dropping an easy mark and had the main hand in Adel first three goals in the last quarter. Trade bait.

There is another positive. Now lets get what we can for him.

Webberly, great first game, Astbury just looks good and will really be one to watch when we improve as a group. Nason getting better, fades in and out but the fitter he gets the better he will get. Edwards has turned a corner over the last 3 weeks for mine, he still has a few turnovers but as a whole his game today was very good, please keep it up. Polak was great, please remember there is only so much he can do for his first game back, missed a couple of easy shots but oresented well around the ground. Martin and Cotchinplayed well and I thought McGuane battled hard all day, became very frustrated in the last and rightly so. Our back line held up well most of the day too which was a good sign and Nahas continues his hard work.

I thought that "on paper" it was a very ordinary tiger line up......So to match it with Adelaide for 3 quarters was a good effort.

* Nahas was dangerous.

* Cotchin was terrific early.

* Polly has ended the career of Simmonds (hopefully)..Shame Polly is still a questionable kick for goal.

* Edwards and Lids were good.
