Honestly can't believe this....

Supporters should be the last people asked to foot the bill.

If I need something for work that will give me a competitive advantage at work, and work cannot fit it in budget, I buy it myself (books, computer, software etc)

I would think that anything upwards of $20k would make a huge difference. Our senior players should realise that they are getting paid millions between them and are the worst in the competition. Our supporters are the best in the competition.

Chris Newman I'm looking at you do the decent thing and get the leadership group to commit the amount required to fit out the gym*. Time to realize that the only way for the team to work its way up is to dig deep and put everything into the making the club better, including $$$. God knows you don't deserve to be paid the full amount as a group based on results.

* If it is allowed under AFL salary cap rules... Would be an eeasy way to get under the minimum payments... pay to 92.5% and theen get eveery player to donate 10% of their salary back to the club...

Its tax deductible guys, clever initiative.

Only if you donate through the Aust Sports Foundation

If you rock up to the Club and handover $200 then it's not tax deductible. Must go through the Aust Sports Foundation as per the letter
"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"

from the song "Don't Walk Away" by Pat Benatar 1988 (Wide Awake In Dreamland)

Yeah instead of wasting money down at Crown Casino, the players could be buying gym equipment.
