Dustin Martin’s significant impact, in his debut season of AFL football, is underlined in a summary of Richmond’s key statistical categories at the mid-year break.

Martin, who turns 19 on Saturday (June 26), features prominently in nine of the 10 categories listed below.

He is No. 1 at the Club in score assists, No. 2 in total clearances, No. 2 for inside-50s, No. 3 for handballs, and No. 4 for total disposals.

The only category, where he doesn’t make the top 10, is for marks.

Brett Deledio’s prospects of completing a Jack Dyer Medal hat-trick, from a pure statistical viewpoint, appear excellent.

The 2008-09 Dyer Medallist has been in superb form throughout the first 13 rounds of the 2010 season in his sweeping role across half-back.

He is ranked No. 1 at Tigerland in the total kicks category, No. 1 for disposals, No. 1 for inside-50s, No. 2 for handballs, No. 2 for rebound-50s, and No. 2 for marks.

And, Jack Riewoldt’s rise to prominence this season also is highlighted statistically.

‘Jumping’ Jack, with 48 goals, has kicked 36 more than the next player on the Tigers’ goalkicking list for 2010 - first-year livewire, Ben Nason.

In addition, Riewoldt is ranked No. 1 for total marks, No. 4 for kicks, and No. 5 for tackles.

And thanks to Dusty getting all the media attention, Cotch has flown under the radar a touch this year. Sheesh he's averaging 6 clearances per game!

Nason has done nicely stats wise as well for his debut year.

Tambling is another who's defensive game has not been noticed. Leading the tackles with 57 or over 5 tackles a game on average (played 11)  :o . This may be why he seems to have gone backwards in terms of possessions because his focus has switched to be more defensive.

Dusty is a freak, Cotch a clearnace king and Lids an inspiration running off the half back. Who do they tag first?  :thumbsup

There’s no denying Lids, Dusty, and Cotch's influence as well as Jack.
What did surprise me was Shane Edwards is there abouts on a lot of the tables as well.  Up until this season I always wondered why he was getting games and cringed each time he got the ball, waiting for the turn over.  He has really stepped up this year in particularly the last 4-5 weeks.
