* July 05, 2010 12:44PMRICHMOND midfielder Ben Cousins has been rushed to hospital after taking a sleeping tablet.
The club says the veteran was admitted to Epworth Hospital this morning after suffering "an adverse reaction to a sleeping tablet".
The Tigers will release further details once Cousin's condition becomes clearer.
The Herald Sun said Cousins was rushed to hospital with a re-occurrence of stomach pains.
Cousins reportedly awoke "with an intense abdominal complaint after suffering an adverse reaction to a sleeping tablet".
Only hours before he had played a key role in the Tigers' come from behind win over Sydney, collecting 21 possessions.
Cousins was forced to spend days in hospital in the lead up to Round 1, with doctors struggling to find the cause of the complaint.
After an interrupted pre-season he has played excellent football in recent week and has expressed a desire to play on with Richmond next season.
