King and Morton played good games as did Rance. Rance was one of the few in the backline who could lay a tackle and make it stick. Astbury was good.  Polo is gone. Ruck division a problem. Should not be beaten by Brown of the pies. Graham needs to take more contested marks to help us in defence. McGuane had a shocker. What do people think does he have a future at Richmond? Delivery to Jack was very poor

People on here laugh at bomber forums going off when they loose'
 :ROTFL

The sky is falling, the sky is falling. You'd think that after so many losses in the last 30 years people would be able to accept them for what they are.

Positives form todays game?
What about Astbury?
Gee, this kid will be good!!

Morton up the ground? didn't kill em but in the context of the game showed enough to look forward to seeing more of him there.

Farmer was reasonably  solid.

Rance, although he did make a couple of eff ups, did some good things as well. Undecided about this kid.

nason, just knows where to run to and when, Is very much like dale thomas in the way he plays and had more impact than dale in a comprehensively beaten side.

Early in the year it was the same with many screaming like babies with pooty nappies after a loss.

Have a look at the changes to this side to that what beat freo!

We all hate those scum, but you have to give them credit. They forced us to play the way they wanted us to.
They hardly turned the ball over from unforced skill errors. They were the better drilled side for the day and our side consisted of a number of players who probably are not part of the future of RFC.

whilst i agree with some parts of this response but you cant be serious about nason and Farmer yesterday. They were horrible.

definately must rest farmer next week he provides nothing to this side at all. Every opportunity he always looks to handball off instead of kicking. He was recruiting as a good kick so kick the stuffing thing :banghead :banghead

Agree re: Astbury. has improved with each game will be a star.

Morton must play EVERY game this year. Games like that yesterday will increase his currency or at least give us a new rejuvenated player that can not only kick goals but play midfield. he is a better choice than polo and nahas by the length of the straight.

While Nason has played better games, he just keeps presenting. He has an ablitity to spread and find space, particularly from defence. How many times did he he find space and provide a link up out of defence from the back flanks?.

Farmer also keeps presenting, in his case he reads the play very well, he also seems a pretty good judge of when to spoil and when to stay down. Agree I'd like to see him kick more, but perhaps there actually needs to be an option to kick to.

So are my ways higher than your ways,

Farmer was one of the bext players we had on the field yesterday and in fact most of the year. His attack on the ball and long kicking has been true assets o the team. Great swap for Schulz imho.

Rance though was disappointing for me. While he is tough at the contest he continually looked to kick backwards and turned around to seek the safe option. I understand that Collingwood's defensive work made finding targets up the field and breaking through their zone very difficult but turning backwards and looking for safe option was a step backwards to the Bowden days for mine. He hasn't he pace to break the lines or run away from opponents which is why he always turns around. We needed to run out of defense in waves.

i thought i had heard it all till this comment

His attack on the ball and long kicking has been true assets to the team.

uum which game were you at on the weekend. Farmer was shocking and long kicking, you are kidding right? He is the handball specialist to no one in particular. Backwards trade IMO for Schulz. Neither here nor there.

we had few players yesterday in fact 3 with King being okay too. Cuz, Astbury,  Morton. Farmer and the rest of the team were shocking.

There are some funny things in this thread  ;D

bottom line is we were never going to get close in this game. To borrow another posters "catch cry" that's a FACT

Based on yesterday efforts you could argue that 80% of players paper's should be stamped never to be seen again

It was a terrible day but in the overall scheme of things is probably just an indiction of where we are at and where we need to get to. Nothing more nothing less

Time to move on and roll with the punches  ;D

I  counted Rance kicking the ball to the opposition 4 times today that resulted in GOALS.
11 of Collingwoods goals were direct from our turnovers, what game do you people watch :banghead

a long kick to a pack which doesn't result in our team collecting the ball doesn't count as a turnover  8)

McGuane to GC17 for a 2d round pick !!!
Can't carry guys who can't kick and make smart choices with ball in hand.
Love his work rate, courage and determination but this will only take us so far !!

McGuane, Polo, Nahas, Thomson, Hislop, Polak, Roberts, McMahon should be moved on either through trade or delistings at the end of the year.

How on earth did mcguane have a shocker. There are some people who just don't like certain players and that means that player has already played crap before a ball has been bounced  8)
