Besides the first few obvious delistings its is starting to get harder which I feel is a good sign.

List management and contracts are becoming a more difficult task.

Does anyone have a list of contracts - I would love to know who is out of contract first before I start throwing around names.

Add Simmonds as he has to come off the playing list.

Remove Tambling and Tuck who recently got new contracts.
Vickery may have done a 3 year deal when drafted which would take him to 2011.

I just hope our 2009 "Top up" recruits Thomson and Hislop are shown the door.

Not too disappointed to see the back of Polo.

I would love to see the end of Luke Mcguane but I realise he is still under contract.

Thankyou muscles.

Well going on that I would suggest -

Simonds (ret.)
Cousins (ret.)
McMahon (delisted)
Polo (delisted)
Thomson (delisted)
Hislop (delisted) - out until/if I hear he is contracted
Nahas (delisted)
----------------
Polak (delisted) - elevated rookie
----------------
Gilligan (delisted) - rookie
Roberts (delisted) - rookie

This creates 6 spots on the main list and 3 places open on the rookie list. Some of those 6 may be taken by elevated rookies which could include any of Browne, Gourdis and/or Hicks.

Smells fishy but I sense familiarity, you a hall monitor somewhere or school prefect or I dunno part of a secret police force, ultra nationalist geurrilla group, perhaps a sycophantic right hand man like smithers or something?

10 minimum should have been the result
Agree it should be more like 10 but that's hard to do in a compromised draft when we didn't tank for an extra early pick.

We have roughly ND picks 6, 29, 46, 63, 80, ..... plus pick 2? in the PSD. Unless we trade for more picks it's hard to see us having any more than 5 ND picks plus the PSD pick. That's only 6 changes to our senior list.

My outs are the same as everyone else's:

Cuz (ret.)
Simmo (ret.)
Jordie
Polo
Thomson
Hislop ....... although apparently he's staying  :scream

Polak#
Roberts#
Gilligan#

Nahas is contracted so we're stuck with him unless he's traded for a 3 magic beans or paid out.

I think there is another reason we probably wont cut much deeper this year and that is the fact that we have a large number of players comming out the year after and we need to get games into these guys to see if they are part of our future

From the contract thread

2011: Astbury, Browne, Collins, Dea, Farmer, Grimes, Griffiths, Jackson, Martin, Morton, Nahas, Nason, Newman, Rance, Riewoldt, Taylor, Thursfield, Webberley

How many of these guys can we be sure of being in our Next Preimership ? We need to play them to make a judgement and hence we dont need big changes this next year. There is 18 on that list of which only 2 I can be sure of. Just so happens those two were just given contract extentions. It would be brave call on any of the others.

One thing that will make 2011 very interesting is that so many of the 22 each week playing for a new contract.

Has anyone heard any whispers that Gus has been re-signed yet?  The Suns must be on the lookout for rucks ....

Hasn't the Club claimed it has signed up everyone we want to keep and if the Suns grab anyone it'll be a player we weren't planning to hold onto anyway?

Coming out of contract: Connors, Cousins, Edwards, King, Graham, Hislop, McMahon, Moore, Polo, Post, Tambling, Thomson, Tuck, Vickery, White

This is what "I" would do!

Sign - Connors (1 year), Graham (1 year), Moore (1 year), Post (2 years), Tambling (1 year), Vickery (2 years), White (1 year)

Delist - Hislop, McMahon, Thomson

Trade - Edwards, King, Polo, Tuck.

Doesn't Tuck have a contract?

Hislop, McMahon, Thomson MUST be the first three to be delisted!

Post should only get 1 year IMHO. He needs a kick up the backside- needs to work out if he wants to play professional footy or do something else in his life!

Yep! Agree with that!

Polak, Simmonds, Cousins - Retired.

Roberts?

I think a club would take Polo and Edwards for a third or fourth round pick.
