Looks like in a couple of years we will be generating revenue via betting on footy directly through the RFC site:

Quote

Great, I can just send the cash directly to RFC!

Results Round 8 - Lost $18 (Week 8 bets and $8 port bet)

Round 9 bets - backed the blues in Wiz @ $10 at 1.54 - Won $5.40
backed the Saints for the 8 @ $10 at 1.11

Round 10 Bets - $20 on West Coast to win $20 @ 1.67 !!!  Not bad odds

Cumulative Return - Minus $32.60 (so at the moment if you followed my investments - you would have lost 2/3rds of your money so far !!!)

Hint - (for next year) - stay away from the Wizard Cup.

And put next weeks bet on - Got Gehrig at $20 at 4/1

Wonder what he will drop to since Lloyd has busted his arm.

Gee , how poor will the Bombers be?

Bombers look stuffed now. I wonder if the media will jump down Lloyd's throat for being injury prone like they did when Richo broke his that time ::).

Your Eagles for top 4 bet looks pretty good LT.

Out of the underdogs the Dogs could be show as the pies will be without a known ruckman (Fraser and Richards injured) and Bucks is iffy. Might add the Dogs record against the Pies the last few years is woeful.

Bias showing but 3.10 for the Tiges to 1.36 for the Cats is a big gap given we're a unknown quantity. The early rounds and especially round 1 are hard to tip. Hey even we thumped the reigning R/U in round 1 last year in what was then a huge upset. All down hill from there for both us and the Pies.

I have taken $20 on Melbourne at 1.45.  They have firmed in the market.

Would love to plant the Tigers, but plenty of time for that later

Surprised we are such clear favourites this week after the Cats game and having not won since May last year  :(.

This week, Port are 1.49 against Adelaide.   I think its easily the best return this week.  $20 for mine. :thumbsup

At the moment you'd have to say we have too many blokes taking votes off each other to be serious contenders for a brownlow winner.  Although never say never... who knows what the phuq umpires are thinking.....

The other problem is that we could start losing games which would definitely write us off.

By my estimates at this stage:

Brown: 9-12 votes
Richo: 6-7
Coughlan: 5-6
Tuck: 3-4
Bowden: a couple
Maybe Gaspar, Newman, Kellaway or Hyde one or two

If we were to start losing, Cogs would have to be the exception there.  In 2003, he showed that he can still get votes, regardless of whether the team wins or loses.  IIRC, that year, he actually polled slightly more votes in games we lost than won.  In a game we lost to the Bombers by 6+ goals, he received 3 votes and another 3 votes in a small loss to the Hawks.  So I wouldn’t necessarily write us off completely.
